GROW-FINE Southeast Africa (GF-SEA) is a follow-on to the GROW hindcast which addresses the are offshore south and east Africa at a coarse 28 km resolution (0.25 deg) and two fine mesh 9 km (1/12th deg) nearshore grids. Shallow water effects are included. The hindcast is archived 1-hourly for the continuous period 1979-2019. Tropical cyclones within the continuous period are archived every 15 minutes on the East Africa fine mesh grid. Spectra are available at select locations.
