The
GROW-Fine East Coast (GFEC) hindcast is a near-coastal
archive of wind and wave fields and wave spectra along
the U.S. East Coast. The archive is available on a 5.6
km (0.05 degree) grid for the continuous period January
1979 - December 2022 with
select pre-1979 tropical cyclones and extra-tropical storms
included. Significant tropical systems for the period
1924-2022 and significant extra-tropical systems for the
period 1957-2022 also include water level and vertically
averaged currents on the 5.6 km grid.

partitions) in ASCII or OSMOSIS format
- Return
period extremes for wind speed, wave height (significant,
maximum and crest) and wave period
- Operability
statistics expressed as frequency-of-occurence tables

- Directional
wave spectra at select archive points
